[Watch] Harry Brook's Acrobatic Skills To Dismiss Jonny Bairstow In The Hundred 2023

The Hundred 2023 encounter between Northern Superchargers and Welsh Fire on Tuesday was all about England's new-age sensation Harry Brook. Brook, who slammed the fastest ever The Hundred century in merely 42 balls, also shone with his stellar fielding skills near the boundary line.

Batting first, Superchargers were helped by Brook's belligerent 105, taking their score to 158 for seven. In the replay, Fire got off the block quickly as Eskinazi and Jonny Bairstow fired all cylinders. 

Bairstow, who scored a quick-fire 44 became victim to Brook's acrobatic skills.

The Yorkshire keeper struck Brydon Carse over the the leg-side on the 82nd delivery, to which Brook first lobbed the ball in the air while crossing the rope. Then in the second attempt despite losing balance, the SRH batter pushed the ball up in the air and in his third and final attempt, threw the ball towards closing-in fielder Adam Hose.

Regardless of the 24-year-old's brilliance with both bat and in the field, Superchargers lost the encounter by eight wickets, as Fire chased the target within 90 balls, with Joe Clarke (42*) taking the club over the victory line. 

Speaking of Brook, the explosive middle-order batter is the second-highest run-getter (238) in The Hundred 2023 and is only behind England's white-ball skipper Jos Buttler (253). Interestingly, Brook was dropped from England's provisional World Cup 2023 squad.
