As India gears up for the first T20I of the five-match series against England, which is set to begin on Wednesday (January 22) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. A lighthearted moment between captain Suryakumar Yadav and  Arshdeep Singh has captured the attention of fans and followers.

SKY And Arshdeep's Quirky Chat In Bengali

Arshdeep Singh, who is expected to lead India’s bowling attack in the upcoming series, joined the team’s camp on Sunday night (January 19) and participated in the practice session on Monday (January 20). During the practice, a delightful conversation between Suryakumar Yadav and Arshdeep in Bengali was shared on social media by the BCCI giving fans a glimpse of their camaraderie.

In the video, Suryakumar Yadav addresses Arshdeep in Bengali, and said, “Jaise ye paaji ko dekh kar yaad aata hai. Paaji bhalo? Bhalo paaji?” (Looking at you, paaji, I remember. How are you, paaji? Are you good?). Arshdeep responds, “Bhalo achi” (I’m doing well). Suryakumar, clearly impressed by Arshdeep’s command of the language, replies with a smile, “Paaji bhi seekh gaye hai yaha par reh kar” (Paaji has also learned here by staying around).

As the T20I series against England approaches, both Suryakumar and Arshdeep are expected to play crucial roles. Suryakumar will be integral in providing stability at the top of the order, while Arshdeep will spearhead the Indian bowling attack. 

With both players in fine form, their contributions will be crucial as India looks to take on England in the upcoming exciting series.

The five-match series, which begins at Eden Gardens, the second and third games will be played at Chennai and Rajkot on January 25 and 28, respectively. The fourth match will be held in Pune on January 31, and the final match of the series will take place in Mumbai on February 2.
