Rohit Sharma and his unique way to have candid conversations with others never get old. And a similar incident occurred when the Indian captain handed over the prestigious ICC ODI Team of the Year cap to Kuldeep Yadav, one of the best performers for the Men in Blue in limited-overs cricket.

"It's my great pleasure to present this wonderful cap to a wonderful athlete and who has been a real asset for Team India, ICC ODI Team of the Year, Kuldeep," Rohit began the candid conversation with Kuldeep after thanking Rahul Dravid for giving him the chance to do the honours.

While being shy, Kuldeep replied, "Thank you, Rohit bhai" while having a satisfaction on his face after getting it. And Rohit saw the opportunity to tease Kuldeep. He asked the left-arm wrist spinner if he wanted to say something.

Kuldeep, after saying no for the first time, then began by saying, "I mean, nothing much to say. I mean I had a great season last year, both with the bat and ball." Rohit had a shocking face right there, saying, "Bat. When? When?"

Kuldeep then reminded Rohit that he batted valiantly in a Test series. Rohit's savage reply came after that, "I am captain of this team. I have never seen him bat. So, I don't know what is he talking about," he added with no reaction on his face.

Both Rohit, one of the all-time best for the country, and Kuldeep, along with many members of Team India, are currently in New York, where they are preparing for the T20 World Cup 2024. The tournament will begin on June 2, and it will run until June 29.
