Vitality Blast T20 2022 | LAN vs YOR | Preview, Prediction, Probable XI, CREX XI

The Roses T20 Blast fixture will see Lancashire taking on the arch-rivals Yorkshire in the 8th match of the tournament, scheduled to take place on Friday (May 27) at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester.

Yorkshire got off to a remarkable start to their T20 Blast campaign, winning their opening fixture by seven wickets. A stormy start by Adam Lyth (40 off 24) and a striding finish by Harry Brooks (60 off 27) saw the White Roses complete the 173 run chase in just 18.1 overs.

Joe Root and Dawid Malan were equally impressive with the bat, with Jordan Thompson being their most successful bowler with figures of 3/35. Heading into their second fixture, Yorkshire will look to keep their momentum going and keep their pole position intact in the North Group points table.

Lancashire, on the other hand, will be a tough angle to deal with, especially after their fresh overseas signings in the form of star batter Tim David and Phil Salt. The presence of the English all-rounder Liam Livingstone will further bolster the Red Rose club.

Lancashire had a marvellous T20 Blast season last year as they finished second in the North Group with 7 wins from 14 matches, and they'll be looking to make a good start in this season as well.

T20 Blast 2022 | GLO vs SUS | Preview, Prediction, Probable XI, CREX XI

The 11th game of England's T20 Blast 2022 is set between the Gloucestershire and the Sussex Sharks on Friday (May 27) at the Bristol County Ground, Bristol. Gloucestershire didn't get the kind of start they would have dreamt of in the ongoing edition of the T20 Blast, as they lost their opening fixture in the tournament by a considerable margin of 30 runs. Their reckless bowling saw Middlesex posting a mammoth target of 230 onboard. At one stage, it looked like Stephen Eskinazi and Co. would surpass the 250-run mark, but Gloucestershire bowlers made a sharp comeback at the backend, picking up six wickets for 44 runs in the final five overs. In reply to Middlesex's 229, Gloucestershire faltered in the run-chase and fell 30 runs short. None of their batters could cross the 50-run mark in a huge run chase. Benny Howell and Ryan Higgins top-scored for them, having smacked 46 and 34 runs, respectively. Coming to Sussex, they too lost their opening match against Glamorgan after failing to defend a total of 150. None of their batters except Mohammed Rizwan (81 off 60) could go past the 15-run mark. Delray Rawlins, Steven Finn and skipper Ravi Bopara picked a wicket each for Sussex as Glamorgan completed the chase in just 18.4 overs, handing Sussex a 7-wickets defeat. Heading into their second fixture, both the teams will look to clinch their maiden victories and open their winning account in the ongoing edition of T20 Blast. Match Details Match: Gloucestershire vs Sussex, Match 11 Venue: County Ground, Bristol Date & Time: May 27 at 11:00 PM IST Live Streaming: FanCode and ECB website. Pitch Report The batters will receive maximum help from the pitch, and batting will become easier as the game proceeds. With a pretty quick outfield, the bowlers need to do something out of the box to control run leakage. We can expect a score of 160-180 here at Bristol. Head-To-Head In the 18 matches between these two teams, Gloucestershire has won 7 games while Sussex has 11 wins. The last time they met in the competition, Sussex got better off Gloucestershire, beating them by five wickets. Squads Gloucestershire: Jack Taylor (C), Miles Hammond, James Bracey (wk), Ryan Higgins, Benny Howell, Tom Smith, Ian Cockbain, Glenn Phillips, Paul van Meekeren, David Payne, Naseem Shah, Zak Chappell, George Scott Sussex: Ravi Bopara (C), Luke Wright, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Josh Philippe, Delray Rawlins, George Garton, Harrison Ward, Will Beer, Tymal Mills, Archie Lenham, Steven Finn, Tom Alsop, Henry Crocombe, Oliver Carter Probable Playing XI Gloucestershire: Miles Hammond, James Bracey (wk), Ian Cockbain, Glenn Phillips, Ryan Higgins, Benny Howell, Jack Taylor (c), Tom Smith, Paul van Meekeren, David Payne, Naseem Shah Sussex: Luke Wright, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Josh Philippe, Ravi Bopara (c), Delray Rawlins, George Garton, Harrison Ward, Will Beer, Tymal Mills, Archie Lenham, Steven Finn CREX XI Suggestions Wicket-Keeper: Mohammad Rizwan, Glenn Phillips Batters: Ian Cockbain, Miles Hammond, Luke Wright All-Rounders: Ravi Bopara, Ryan Higgins, Benny Howell Bowlers: Steven Finn, David Payne, Naseem Shah Captain: Mohammad Rizwan Vice-Captain: Ryan Higgins

T20 Blast 2022 | SUR vs GLM | Preview, Prediction, Probable XI, Crex XI

Surrey will begin their campaign in the T20 Blast 2022 against David Lloyd's Glamorgan. Since the tournament's inception, Surrey has tried to alter the team combinations with the trophy eluding them. They have roped in Chris Jordan and handed him the captaincy. In addition, Caribbean superstars Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard have also joined the roster. Though Pollard has not been at his best, the team management will likely back him to end the lean patch. England international Jason Roy also returns to professional cricket after taking a short break from the sport. Surrey's top order will get strengthened with his return. Glamorgan, on the other hand, has kick-started their journey in style. They defeated Sussex by seven wickets, riding on Michael Hogan's brilliant performance with the ball. Surrey needs to be wary of Sam Northeast and Marnus Labuschagne, who look in ominous touch. Match Details Match: Surrey v/s Glamorgan, Match 14 Venue: Kennington Oval, London Date & Time: May 27 at 11:00 PM IST Live Streaming: FanCode and ECB website. Pitch Report: The pitch at Kennington Oval favours the batters and is likely to stay the same throughout the match. A team winning the toss should prefer chasing on this ground. Head-To-Head: Surrey won four of the last five T20 matches between the two teams. However, Glamorgan clinched a thriller in their previous encounter as Surrey fell short by one run. Squads Glamorgan: David Lloyd (c), Eddie Byrom, James Harris, Sam Northeast, Callum Taylor, Kiran Carlson, Billy Root, Andy Gorvin, Lukas Carey, Ruaidhri Smith, Andrew Slater, Tegid Phillip, James Weighell, Michael Hogan, Prem Sisodiya, James McIlroy, Alex Horton, Chris Cooke, Tom Cullen, Joe Cooke, Timm van der Gugten, Dan Douthwaite, Marnus Labuschagne (Australia), Colin Ingram (South Africa), Michael Neser (Australia) Surrey: Chris Jordan (c), Amar Virdi, Ben Foakes, Ben Geddes, Conor McKerr, Daniel Moriarty, Dan Worrall, Gus Atkinson, Jamie Overton, James Taylor, Jamie Smith, Jason Roy, Jordan Clark, Laurie Evans, Matt Dunn, Nathan Barnwell, Nicholas Kimber, Nico Reifer, Ollie Pope, Rory Burns, Reece Topley, Ryan Patel, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Tom Lawes, Will Jacks, Sunil Narine (West Indies), Kieron Pollard (West Indies) Probable Playing XI Glamorgan: David Lloyd (c), Sam Northeast, Marnus Labuschagne, Kiran Carlson, Chris Cooke, Joe Cooke, Dan Daouthwaite, Michael Neser, James Weighell, Prem Sisodiya, Michael Hogan Surrey: Jason Roy, Will Jacks, Ben Foakes, Ollie Pope, Chris Jordan (c), Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Laurie Evans, Colin Ingram CREX XI Suggestion Wicket-Keeper: Ben Foakes Batters: Jason Roy, Marnus Labuschagne, Sam Northeast, Kiran Carlson All-Rounders: Sam Curran, Will Jacks, Tom Curran Bowlers: Michael Hogan, Chris Jordan, Sunil Narine Captain: Sam Northeast Vice-Captain: Jason Roy
