Salem Spartans will aim to pick up their first win of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2022 as they clash with IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans at the SNR College Cricket Ground on Wednesday, July 13. 

Salem Spartans made a poor start to the league as they lost all three matches they played so far. Siechem Madurai Panthers completely outclassed them in their most recent fixture.

In reply, the SS batters couldn't get going as they lost wickets at regular intervals, and the side eventually folded at 126, losing the match by 39 runs. Winless so far, Salem Spartans are currently languishing at the bottom of the TNPL 2022 standings. 

IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, on the other hand, began their campaign with a victory against Ruby Trichy Warriors by four wickets but failed to sustain their winning momentum, losing their next two fixtures on the trot. 

With two points in their account from three games, Tiruppur Tamizhans are currently in the sixth position in the points tally. Heading into their next game, they will hope to return to winning ways against the struggling Spartans.
