T20 World Cup 2022: Tickets for IND-PAK match at MCG sold out confirms ICC

The India-Pakistan tie is a money-spinning affair for cricketing tournaments and the International Cricket Council (ICC) in recent times have ensured that both these sides come across each other across every global competition organised by the governing board.

The ICC have confirmed that tickets for India versus Pakistan match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23 for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 were sold out.  ​

The board further disclosed that additional standing tickets for the T20I were brought within minutes.

"The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 is set to welcome fans of all ages and backgrounds, with over 500,000 fans already securing their place to the event that begins in one month's time,"

The India v Pakistan fixture at the MCG on 23 October is sold out, with additional standing room tickets snapped up within minutes of going on sale. An official re-sale platform will be launched closer to the event, where fans can exchange tickets at face value."

The ICC further informed that tickets for India's match against South Africa in Perth on October 30 were also sold-out, with the authorities potentially adding a few more offline tickets at a later date. 

India are placed in Super 12 Group 2, alongside Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, and two qualifying teams from round 1.
