Pakistan batted first in the final of 2014. Amad Butt was the highest run-scorer for the Asian team with 37 runs off 54 deliveries. Corbin Bosch led the brilliant bowling effort of South Africa picking up four wickets for 15 runs in 7.3 overs as they restricted Pakistan for a paltry 131.

In the chase, the skipper Aiden Markram played a calm and composed knock of 66 runs in 125 deliveries. Greg Oldfield played a second fiddle to the skipper and scored 40 runs off 68 deliveries guiding the team to a six wicket win and their second ever ICC title.

Under Temba Bavuma's leadership, South Africa won a senior ICC title after 27 years as they defeated Australia in the WTC 2025 Final at Lord's. 

Aiden Markram, who was in charge of the Under 19 team winning the World Cup 11 years ago, ledf the chase in this case.
