The defending champions will have an additional advantage of hosting the World Cup this time around. The inclusion of big-hitter Tim David made the headlines as the lone change who replaced Mitchell Swepson from the World Cup winning squad.

England

Dropped after his poor form, Jason Roy was replaced by Phil Salt at the top. Newly appointed skipper Jos Buttler will take over the captainship duties for the first time in an ICC event. New Zealand

Trent Boult and Jimmy Neesham have still made it to the squad despite declining New Zealand Cricket central contract. The big drop from Tiger's squad is the former skipper and all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad, who has been performing poorly in the format for some time. On the other hand, veteran Shakib Al Hasan retains his place as skipper, whereas Mushfiqur Rahim won't be taking part after retiring from the format. In a last minute change, Soumya Sarkar and Shoriful Islam replace Sabbir Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin, after keeping conditions in mind.

India

Despite being the favourites in every ICC event, India haven't lived up to their expectations. After a disaster in the previous edition, the Men in Blue would be keen to give a glimpse of their firepower. However, with Ravindra Jadeja ruled out due to injury along with Jasprit Bumrah, the Rohit Sharma-led side might feel the heat if their mainstays miss out. Jasprit Bumrah's back injury meant, in his place, Mohammad Shami would be India's strike bowler.

Squad: Rohit Sharma (c), KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya, R Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Mohammad Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Standby Players: Mohammed Siraj, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, Shardul Thakur.

Pakistan

The return of Shaheen Shah Afridi will be a big boost to Men in Green, who missed the services of the spearhead in the Asia Cup. Fakhar Zaman, after a disappointing run of form, has been omitted from the 2009 champions' squad. Shan Masood, however, has made a comeback on the back of excellent domestic performances. Fakhar Zaman was brought in place of Usman Qadir to improve their batting strength.

Squad: Babar Azam (c), Shadab Khan, Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Shan Masood, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Muhammad Hasnain, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Standby Players: Usman Qadir, Mohammad Haris, Shahnawaz Dahani.

Rassie van der Dussen has been left out as a result of his finger injury, which might keep him out of action for quite some time.
