Lancashire vs Derbyshire

Lancashire Lightning climbed to the top of the points table in the North Group, courtesy of a 17-run victory over Derbyshire Falcons. Lancashire's batters, Liam Livingstone in particular, came to the party after their skipper Dane Vilas opted to bat first.

They took a full toll on the Falcons' ineffective bowling to notch up 219/6 on the board in 20 overs. The hard-hitting Livingstone blasted 75 (40 balls), with five fours and an equal number of sixes. Significant contributions came from others, including Keaton Jennings (34), Steven Croft (28) and the captain (34). George Scrimshaw scalped three wickets but conceded 45 runs in his quota of four overs.

In reply, Derbyshire depicted a fight, with Luis Reece (55) and Leus du Plooy (59*) scoring half-centuries. They required 36 runs in two overs to clinch the high-scoring thriller. However, Richard Gleeson bowled a stunning penultimate over and gave up only six runs. The Falcons ultimately fell short by 17 runs and are now placed at fourth on the points table.

Brief Scores: Lancashire 219/6 in 20 overs (Liam Livingstone 75, George Scrimshaw 3/45) defeated Derbyshire 202/5 in 20 overs (Leus du Plooy 59*, Luis Reece 55, Tom Hartley 2/39) by 17 runs

Durham vs Worcestershire

After suffering two successive defeats, Durham bounced back with a 48-run win over Worcestershire Rapids. Put into bat, opener Michael Jones laid the foundation of the victory with a quickfire 44 (25 balls), with five fours and three sixes. Ollie Robinson (35) and other batters took the team's total to 186/7

Worcestershire's chase did not begin on the right note as they got reduced to 9/2 in 1.3 overs. The middle-order tried to stabilise the innings, but it never picked up the pace required to scale the target. Ben Raine and Andrew Tye scalped three wickets each for Durham to stall Rapids' chase.

Brief Scores: Durham 186/7 in 20 overs (Michael Jones 44, Brett D'Oliveira 23/3) defeated Worcestershire 138/9 in 20 overs (Ben Raine 3/23, Andrew Tye 3/27) by 48 runs

Northamptonshire vs Leicestershire

Chris Lynn's unbeaten century has helped Northamptonshire Steelbacks defeat Leicestershire Foxes by 42 runs. Choosing to bat first, the Steelbacks lost just one wicket and posted a humongous 227 runs on the board.

The Australian opener Lynn was at his dominating best. He took 66 balls for 106 and peppered the boundary with twelve fours and three sixes. He was well-supported by Kiwi all-rounder Jimmy Neesham, who scored 75 of only 30 balls. Neesham smashed five fours and half-a-dozen sixes.

In reply, Scott Steel scored 64 for the Foxes, but it was not going to be enough. They are struggling at the eighth position after three losses from four games.

Brief Scores: Northamptonshire 227/1 in 20 overs (Chris Lynn 106*, Jimmy Neesham 75*) defeated Leicestershire 185/9 in 20 overs (Scott Steel 64, Ben Sanderson 3/30) by 42 runs
