T20 Blast 2022 | NOT vs WAR | Preview, Prediction, Probable XI, CREX XI

Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire face off against each other in Match 76 of the T20 Blast 2022. Both sides are coming into this fixture on the back of contrasting results in their last encounters, respectively. Nottinghamshire claimed a comfortable five-wicket victory over Leicestershire the previous week, whereas Yorkshire handed Warwickshire a 10-wicket thrashing in their last meeting.

The hosts have not necessarily had an excellent start to the season. However, they are still in the hunt for a quarterfinal berth. They are placed sixth on the points table, with three wins from their seven games. A win on Friday could see them move into the top standings of the North Group.

As for Warwickshire, they are placed in a pretty decent position, with five wins from their eight outings. The visitors are currently ranked third on the points table, with 10 points to their name. So a victory could possibly see them move into the top two.

Warwickshire have been pretty inconsistent off-late, losing three of their last five games. However, they started the season off with a bang, claiming three consecutive wins.

Irish opening batter Paul Stirling has been in nightmare form off late, registering three consecutive ducks. As a result, the pressure is on the veteran batter to start delivering runs for his side from the top of the order. The Irishman had a blistering start to the campaign, scoring 119 runs off just 51 balls in the first encounter against Northamptonshire.

The visitors have registered three scores of above 200 in the eight games they have played so far, but their batting has often been an area of concern in the rest of the games.

Nottinghamshire produced a thoroughly dominant display against Leicestershire last time around. After bundling out the opposition for just 123 runs, they chased down the total with over six overs remaining. Alex Hales scored a quickfire knock of 44 runs off just 16 balls, with Ben Duckett also chipping in with a handy knock.

Jacob Lintott should be another player to watch out for, given that he has been the pick among the bowlers for Warwickshire. He has 13 scalps to his name in eight outings so far but has gone wicketless in the past two encounters.
