South Africa have been fined 20 per cent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate against India in the second ODI in Paarl.
The on-field umpires Marais Erasmus and Adrien Holdstock, third umpire Bongani Jele and fourth umpire Allauhudien Palekar leveled the charge in accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.
Talking about the game, the Proteas clinched a 7-wicket win over India to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series in Paarl.
South Africa chased down a target of 288 runs in just over 48 overs after riding on some fine batting display from Janneman Malan who struck 91 off 108 deliveries and Quinton de Kock who notched up a 66-ball 78 during the course.
The two sides will now lock horns in the final ODI in Cape Town on Sunday. While South Africa would eye a clean sweep win in the series, India would be seeking a consolation win.
