Ace Indian opener, Smriti Mandhana, has made her way to the second spot in MRF Tyres ICC Women's Players Rankings for T20I batters.

She has climbed the ladder after an impressive show against England, where she accumulated 111 runs, with the highest score of 79* in the three-match series. Though India Women lost the series 1-2, Mandhana was instrumental in winning the second T20I for the team.

For quite some time, the Australian duo of Beth Mooney and Meg Lanning held onto the top-two spots. While Mooney (743 points) continues to be at Number 1, Mandhana (731 points) has leapfrogged Lanning (725 points) and the White Ferns' hard-hitter Sophie Devine (715 points) to be at the second position.

Mandhana has also been rewarded for an excellent showing in the first ODI against England. The southpaw led the chase with an elegant 91, allowing the Women In Blue to take a 1-0 lead in the series. She has climbed to the seventh spot in the ODI rankings for batters.
