The Indian cricket team has attended the High Commission of India in London after salvaging a fighting draw against hosts England in the fourth Test of the series at Old Trafford earlier this week. Bracing themselves for the impending series-decider, visiting captain Shubman Gill and head coach Gautam Gambhir led India’s diplomacy drive in the city by presenting signed cricket bats to diplomatic heads of India in the UK.

Team India recently arrived in London for the upcoming fifth and final Test of the five-match series, set to be played at The Oval in London.

From Pitch To Protocol: Indian Team Shines In London

The entire Indian cricket team, including the support staff, attended the High Commission of India in London on Tuesday, July 29. As per the pictures shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on their official social media accounts, the players can be seen seemingly enjoying the festivities of the event.

Indian captain Shubman Gill and head coach Gautam Gambhir even presented signed cricket bats to Honourable High Commissioner Mr. Vikram Doraiswami and Deputy High Commissioner Mr. Sujit Ghosh respectively.

What’s Next For Team India?

After salvaging a courageous draw against England at Old Trafford in Manchester, Team India will now face the hosts in the fifth and final Test of the five-match series at The Oval in London. The match will be played between Thursday, July 31 and Monday, August 4.

Shubman Gill and co. are currently trailing the series 1-2 after losing the first and third Tests. The Indian team did secure a comprehensive 336-run win at Edgbaston in Birmingham earlier this month after losing the series-opener by five wickets.
