“Sahi sawaal to koi puch hi nahi Raha hai”: Rohit Sharma's hilarious moment ahead of Kohli’s 100th Test

Since former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli is all set for his 100th Test match, no wonder the primary focus is on Kohli’s special milestone. From media to fans, all are gearing up for the day when Kohli will represent India for the 100th time in Test cricket. No wonder even the press conference ahead of the same also had questions on Kohli. Finally, when someone asked something else, Rohit Sharma, the Indian skipper came up with a witty response.

When Rohit Sharma was asked to comment on the match and audience, he said, “Sahi sawaal to koi puch hi nahi raha hai. Ye sahi sawaal hai jo abhi aap puch rahe ho. Crowd aa raha hai ki nahi, pitch kaisa hai, kya team combination hai. Ye to koi puch hi nahi raha hai, mere liye accha hai,” Rohit hilariously said. (It roughly translates to – This is a proper question. Nobody is asking the correct question. This question is good. Nobody is asking anything related to crowd, pitch, team combination. It is good for me actually.

Previously Sharma spoke about Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match saying Kohli deserves all the credit for shaping India as a good Test-playing nation. “As a Test team, we stand in a good position. The whole credit goes to Virat for how we have been as a Test team. I have to take it from where he has left." He also spoke about the likes of Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara who were dropped from the squad following their form.  

“Never easy to fill in the big shoes of Rahane and Pujara. You can’t put in words what they have done for the team. All those overseas victories, we becoming No.1 in the ICC test rankings, they’ve played a big part. It’s just, for now, we didn’t consider them."

Rohit Sharma will start his journey as Test captain for India with the first Test against Sri Lanka at Mohali starting tomorrow.
