Sachin and others reacts as Jasprit Bumrah records his career-best figures to flatten England

On Tuesday, maestro Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah once again showcased why he is the best all-format bowler of the modern era as the 28-year-old performed a demolition job of a much-vaunted England batting unit to notch up his career-best figures in ODIs.

Bumrah went on to claim his 2nd five-wicket-haul in the format and also his best bowling figures in 50-over cricket as he ran past England's top and lower order to become the first Indian to claim a six-wicket haul (6/19) in ODIs in England- the best figures by an Indian against England in this format.

His masterclass also ensured that India knocked over the hosts for their lowest total in the format against them (110).

With the conditions at the Oval perfect for seam and swing bowling, Bumrah, as he always does, made the ball talk both ways besides generating extra bounce, meaning that there was no let-up for the English batting.

The rut started with Jason Roy chasing a wide full-length delivery from Jasprit. With the ball moving, it was the worst possible shot selection from the opener, and he ended up playing onto his stumps.

Joe Root got an absolute beauty; a back-of-length delivery outside off-stump which kicked off the length to take the edge of the Yorkshireman's bat.

Bumrah's next victim was the in-form Jonny Bairstow, who, despite his current purple patch, could do nothing but edge away seaming delivery, and Rishabh Pant did the rest by completing a sensational diving catch.

It went from bad to worse for England as Liam Livingstone made the unfortunate error of charging at Bumrah. The fast bowler began to bowl it a full delivery, knocking over his leg-stump.

Jasprit then returned at the backend to knock over Brydon Carse with a pinpoint yorker before he dislodged Reece Topley's stump to not only end England's horror innings at 110 but also complete a sensational day at the office.
