In a game where it seemed that records were only made to be broken in this game, Quinton de Kock made sure that his name is not missed out from the history books as he smashed fastest half-century by a South African in a T20I! The southpaw then went onto convert his quick start into a 43-ball century before perishing to a short ball by a Raymon Reifer.
He reached his fifty in just 15 balls as South Africa notched up a record of the fastest hundred by a team in T20Is! They reached that milestone in just 33 balls! Quinton de Kock's fifty is the fifth fastest in T20Is with Yuvraj Singh leading the charts (12 balls) with his famous 6-sixes knock at the Kingsmead Durban in 2007 T20 World Cup.
Earlier in the game, West Indies broke plenty of records on the way to their highest-ever T2OI score of 258/5. Johnson Charles smashed fastest century by a West Indian in just 39 balls and it turned out be one memorable and entertaining game for a passionate crowd assembled in the SuperSport Park.
