India’s first T20I against South Africa turned out to be a damp squib affair owing to persistent rains in Durban’s Kingsmead Cricket Ground on November 10. Fans having attended the stadium were visibly left disappointed with the outcome, as the match was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
Amidst the gloom, Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan had some fun with the cameraman when he was spotted in the dugout during a rain-break alongside teammates Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh and Ravi Bishnoi.

At a time when Indian players were waiting in the dressing room for a possible resumption of play, Ishan Kishan was spotted making a fun gesture towards the cameraman.
Ishan Kishan recently bludgeoned match-winning half-centuries against Australia in India’s post-World Cup T20I series at home. Owing to his splendid run with the bat, the cricketer was given an extended rope in T20Is for matches in South Africa.
The series serve an integral chapter in India’s preparation for next year’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the United States.
Kishan is also a part of India’s 16-player squad for their two-match Test series against South Africa later this month.
As of now, the two nations will resume their T20I rivalry with the second match of their three-game tussle on December 12. The much-awaited contest will be hosted by the iconic St George's Park Cricket Ground in Gqeberha.
