The latest ICC Men's T20I rankings are out and some names have come roaring in while others have quietly slipped under the radar. And leading the charge is none other than West Indies all-rounder Roston Chase.
Roston Chase Rockets To No. 2 In T20I All-Rounder Rankings
Roston Chase bossed the Aussie bowlers in the series opener with a 32-ball 60 that oozed flair. That knock has now propelled him seven spots up the ICC Men's T20I All-rounder Rankings. He is sitting pretty at No. 2 now with 221 rating points just behind Indian all-rounder, Hardik Pandya.
Not too far behind, Aussie all-rounder Cameron Green is making moves of his own. His half-century in the same game vs West Indies helped him climb eight spots to No. 28 in the all-rounders list. The lanky cricketer also went on to smash another blistering fifty in the second WI vs AUS T20I.
Fizz Back In The Top 10
Switching to the bowling charts, Mustafizur Rahman has jumped a whopping 17 places to break into the top 10. He is now tied at 9th with Arshdeep Singh, both with 653 rating points. Fizz has been on fire in the ongoing Pakistan series, picking 3 wickets in two matches at an average of just 7.
Fizz’s teammate Mahedi Hasan isn’t far behind either. The offie climbed nine spots to land at 16th after a solid show against Pakistan, including a clutch 2/25 in the nail-biting win yesterday.
Meanwhile, in Zimbabwe, Kiwi pacer Matt Henry made sure he wasn’t left out of the rankings party. Six wickets in two matches and he is 13 spots richer, sitting at No. 29 now.
Shai Hope Enters Top 10
Windies skipper Shai Hope finally cracked the top 10 among T20I batters. His 55 off 39 balls in the first T20I vs Australia was the cherry on top after a rough Test series. He now boasts 670 rating points and takes the 10th spot .
On the other hand, Mitchell Marsh has silently climbed the ladder too. He is up three spots and now rests at 23rd among the batters with 592 rating points. The Aussie captain’s consistency in white-ball cricket is clearly paying off.
