A tragic incident has shaken the nation as an Air India plane has crashed shortly after taking off from the Sardar Vallabhbhai airport. With 242 passengers on board, the nation is left in shock, raising deep concerns over the scale of the disaster.
As the horrific incident has shaken the world, some of the biggest names in world cricket have joined in mourning. From Rohit Sharma to Afghan star Rashid Khan, top players have come forward to express their heartfelt condolences over the devastating loss.
Cricketing Legends Unite In Mourning After Tragic Crash
On Thursday afternoon, the entire nation was left in shock after Air India’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad, en route to London. The aircraft went down near the Meghani area, engulfing the skies in black smoke. This has been marked as one of the most heartbreaking crashes in India.
As the nation faced the heartbreaking tardy, the condolences crossed the borders as cricketers across the globe united to stand tall with the nation during this tough time. Rohit Sharma, Harbhajan Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Suryakumar Yadav, Afghan spinner Rashid Khan, and many others came together to mourn.

The world witnessed several plane crash tragedies. But the Ahmedabad tragedy has shaken up the world. Bounded with 242 people for London, the Air India plane crashed minutes after takeoff. According to Reuters, the ill-fated flight carried 217 adults and 11 children, including 169 Indians, 53 British, 7 Portuguese, and 1 Canadian passenger. As the death toll is still unknown, reportedly, the injured passengers are taken to the nearby hospital.
