India skipper Rohit Sharma has opened up on the bowling combinations in the ongoing Asia Cup and outlined his strategy for the T20I World Cup as well.

In the last few T20I series, the Indian team have gone on with a combination of four seamers and two spinners. Among them, the all-rounders Pandya and Axar Patel have been their seamer and spinner respectively.

However, the Asia Cup 2022 has witnessed India playing with two regular spinners in form of Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Bishoi/ Ravichandran Ashwin. Furthermore, the seamers in the team include Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Pandya.

In the recent press conference, Sharma thinks that the team management is trying different combinations, and will soon draw the line after settling on a combination.

The 35-year-old further added that the team for the T20I WC is 90-95% finalised, and there might be only a few changes which will take place.

"If you look at the combinations we have been playing before the Asia Cup, there were four seamers and two spinners, with the second spinner being an all-rounder. I always try and find what happens when you play with three seamers and two spinners, and the third seamer being an all-rounder.

"We just wanted to try and see what happens here as well. Still, there are a lot of questions, that we need to answer. But there will be a time when we will draw the line and will say this is the combination we will play."
