Rahul Dravid to depart for England on July 19 alongside Pant and Iyer

India's packed cricketing schedule has put the administrators in a fix, with tours of Ireland and England coinciding with each other. Team India are scheduled to play a two-T20I series against Ireland and a one-off Test in England.

According to emerging reports from various platforms, Rahul Dravid is set to fly to England on June 19, while other support staff members will leave a few days earlier on June 14. Dravid will stay with the team until the end of the five-T20I series against South Africa starting June 9.

Rohit Sharma will be back as India skipper for England, having been rested for the T20Is, where KL Rahul will lead the charge against the Temba Bavuma-led Proteas.

Dravid will be joined by Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer, as the duo will be a part of the Test and T20Is matches against England in July.

The squad for the T20I against Ireland is yet to be announced, however, it has been communicated that former Indian middle-order batsman VVS Laxman will be the head coach for this series.

Currently the head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Laxman will be joined by all his fellow members on this tour. Both T20Is will be held in Dublin.

Dravid will oversee affairs with the red-ball squad, who are due to play a warm-up game ahead of the Test against England in Birmingham. A four-day practice game will start on June 24 against Leicestershire.

Interestingly, on Day One of the one-off Test, the Indian T20 squad will play a warm-up match against Derbyshire county. A second warm-up game is due for July 3 against Northamptonshire.

The Test will be followed by three-T20Is and 3-One-Day Internationals (ODI) against hosts England. The T20Is will commence on July 7, while the ODIs will start on July 12.

The limited-overs leg will be played across five cities: Southampton, Birmingham, Nottingham, London, and Manchester.
