The caravan of the Pakistan National T20 Cup 2022/23 continued on Saturday (September 10), with the Northern and Balochistan picking up crucial victories over Sindh and Central Punjab respectively.

Here's a recap of all the action that unfolded on September 10th: 


Northern v Sindh, 17th match

Result: Northern won by 1 run

A sensational 43-ball 70 from Sindh skipper Saud Shakeel was not enough for his side as Northern eventually managed to eke out a 1-run win in a cliffhanger on Saturday.

Chasing 191, Sindhi kept losing wickets at regular intervals thanks to the duo of Mubasir Khan (2-31 in 3) and Usman Shinwari (2-43 in 4).

Shakeel held the innings together with a blistering 43-ball 70, and while the likes of Sarfaraz Ahmed (23 off 13), Anwar Ali (15 off 5) did chip in with valuable cameos, Danish Aziz's 19-ball 19* came back to haunt them in the end.

Earlier, Northern rode on a sensational 132-run stand between openers Muhammad Huraira (86 off 52) and Nasir Nawaz (47* off 35) and cameos from Zeeshan Malik (19* off 9) and Umar Amin (21* off 10) to post a match-winning total of 190/4.

Central Punjab v Balochistan, 18th match

Result: Balochistan won by 7 wickets

A sensational 52-ball 73 from opener Haseebullah Khan and enterprising knocks from the duo of Asad Shafiq (47 off 34) and Abdul Bangalzai (46* off 24) helped Balochistan consolidate their 2nd spot in the points table as they romped home by 7 wickets against Central Punjab.

Chasing 170 to win, Balochistan got off to a sensational start as the opening duo of Haseebullah and Shafiq racked up 96 runs inside 12 overs.

Shafiq was eventually dismissed by Aamer Yamin in the 12th over but Haseebullah and Bangalzai, who smashed 2 fours and 3 sixes during his 24-ball 46*, ensured that their side romped home with six balls to spare.

Earlier, Central Punjab rode on valuable knocks from Shoaib Malik (44 off 30) and Yamin (37 off 24) to post 169/9 in 20 overs.

Pacer Amad Butt (4/30 in 4) and veteran leg-spinner Yasir Shah (1/26 in 4) proved to be the pick of the bowlers.
