Invited to bat first, Tallawahs were off to a precarious start with the scorecard reading 31/3 in the seventh over. However, the in-form batters Rovman Powell and Raymon Reifer resurrected the team's innings in a fine fashion.

After setting his eyes, Powell increased his tempo to contribute 67 off 49, while Reifer contributed 28 off 26. The duo added 90 runs for the fourth wicket in less than 10 overs.

Afterwards, Imad Wasim flexed his arms to remain unbeaten on 21 off 12, resulting in Tallawahs posting 153 on the board. The pick of the bowlers for Knight Riders was Ravi Rampaul with three scalps.
