Pakistan Cup | Sindh's Sohail Khan fined for showing dissent to umpire’s call

Pakistan pacer Sohail Khan has been fined 25 per cent of his match fee for a level 1 offence for showing dissent at an umpire’s decision, during a fourth-round fixture of the Pakistan Cup against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the Lahore City Cricket Association Ground, Lahore.

In the second over of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s batting, Sohail appealed for an LBW call and expressed his displeasure as the umpire ruled it not out. As a result, he was found to have violated Article 2.8 of the PCB Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.

The on-field umpires - Qaiser Waheed and Nasir Hussain - levelled the charge on the bowler, who later accepted the sanction proposed by the match-referee, Nadeem Arshad.

The match ended with Kyber defeating Sindh by 113 runs as Khalid Usman produced an eye-grabbing spell of 5 for 8. Meanwhile, Sohail registered figures of 2 for 40 in his allotted ten overs in a losing cause.
