  • Pak Vs Aus 1St Test Day 3 Run Feast Continues As Warner Khawaja Frustrate Pakistan Bowlers

PAK vs AUS | 1st Test | Day 3: Run feast continues as Warner, Khawaja frustrate Pakistan bowlers

Australia batters scripted a good fightback against Pakistan after they put 271/2 before stumps on Day 3. Openers Usman Khawaja and David Warner showed a lot of character as the two batters scored 156 runs for the first wicket. Warner was eventually undone by Sajid Khan for 68 while Khawaja continued with his form.

Khawaja was then joined by Marnus Labuschagne and the two batsmen scored 47 runs for the second wicket before the left-handed batter unfortunately missed out on a hundred as he was sent back in the hut for 97 after getting caught by Imam-ul-Haq off Nauman Ali.

On the other side, Labuschagne also notched up a fifty during the course and was unbeaten at 69 along with Steve Smith (24*) as Australia were trailing by 205 at stumps.

It has been a run feast so far in Rawalpindi as both the sides have produced some brilliance with the bat.

Earlier, the home side rode on some exceptional batting from Imam and Azhar Ali to post a massive total of 476/4 (D) in the first innings.

Pakistan would now be looking to pick some early wickets in the morning session while the visiting side would want to continue with the momentum that the top three have provided them with.
