With the fans eagerly waiting for the much-awaited Asia Cup 2025 final between India and Pakistan, the Dubai Police have issued a set of guidelines to ensure safety and order at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 28, 2025. It is important to note that the authorities have warned that any breach of regulations could lead to hefty fines and even imprisonment for serious offences.
Tightened security measures for Asia Cup final
As tensions have been very high both on and off the field, police forces have increased security and specialized units have been deployed across the stadium and surrounding areas for the Asia Cup 2025 final.
The fans and spectators having tickets have been advised to arrive at least three hours before the match to avoid last-minute delays. Each ticket allows one-time entry only, and no re-entry is permitted.
Banned items and behaviour
Authorities have published an extensive list of prohibited items, that include:
- Fireworks, flares, and laser pointers
- Flags, banners, and placards not approved by the organisers
- Weapons, sharp objects, and flammable materials
- Selfie sticks, camera rigs, tripods, and drones
- Glass bottles, bicycles, skateboards, scooters, and pets
Another strict point mentioned by the police is that fans are not allowed to use any racist comments, abusive, or violent behaviour and language. Spectators are not permitted to throw objects or attempt to invade the pitch, and if they do so, they will be met with severe penalties.
Hefty Fines and Legal Action
Violators of public safety laws may face: Fines between INR 1.2 lakh and INR 7.24 lakh, up to three months of imprisonment and also immediate removal from the stadium premises
It is important to note that the Dubai Police have made it clear: zero tolerance will be shown to any disruptive behaviour, particularly in light of the emotional intensity related with India-Pakistan matches.
