Boult has been a key player for NZ
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) have indicated that Trent Boult's decision to leave his central contract will not influence other players from the country to take a similar step.
On Wednesday, New Zealand Cricket reported that Boult urged the board to release him from his central contract as he wishes to spend more time with his family and make himself available for the franchise T20 leagues. After discussions between the board and the left arm pacer, NZC agreed to his decision.
Trent Boult, who is a World Test championship winner and multiple World Cup finalist has admitted that his decision might dim his chances of representing Blackcaps at the international stage once again. In his illustrious career, Boult has made 215 appearances across all formats after making his debut against Australia in Hobart.
