New Zealand Cricket (NZC) have announced their squad for the upcoming T20I World Cup in Australia next month.

The Black Caps have confirmed the 15-member squad for the mega event.

Kane Williamson is set to captain the side and the likes of Finn Allen and Michael Bracewell have been handed the opportunity to compete in their first senior World Cups.

Meanwhile, the squad picked for the World Cup is set to compete in a tri-series before the mega event in Australia next month. New Zealand will battle it out against the likes of Pakistan and Bangladesh in a T20I series which will commence on the 7th of October.

The tri-series will witness seven matches between the three teams over a span of eight days and will serve as ideal preparation for the Black Caps before they depart for Australia on the 15th of October.

New Zealand will begin their T20I World Cup campaign against arch-rivals Australia in Sydney, on the 22nd of October.
