The Netherlands women’s cricket team is charging up for a summer full of international cricket at home. They are all set to play Namibia women’s, Ireland women’s, and Fair break at home this summer. 

The Netherlands will be facing the Namibian women in a five-match T20 series, hosted by the Netherlands, starting from 27th June. The last time these two sides locked horns with each other was in 2019 in Arbroath in Scotland, where the Dutch women registered a comfortable win against the Namibians with splendid performances both in the batting and bowling department. 

This series is going to be a historic clash by all sorts as both teams will prove their mettle to transform into an emerging outfit to beat in world cricket. 

The Heather Siegers-led side has yet to register a bilateral T20I series win and is coming off a 2-1 loss to Ireland in the last assignment. On the other hand, the Namibia cricket team head into the Netherlands tour after losing to Zimbabwe in the final of the T20I Tri-series. 

Prior to the series, Shane Deitz, National Women’s coach, has said, “We have a fantastic summer of cricket ahead of the team with great opportunities in T20 and 50 over cricket all at home in front of our home supporters. The girls have worked really hard over the winter and early in the summer and are ready for the international summer ahead”. 

“Namibia- currently ranked higher than us- will be a great challenge and one we are excited about. They are a well-prepared side and have played a lot of international cricket of late, so this will be a tough series,” Deitz added.
