Kent speedster Navdeep Saini said he was very happy to pick his maiden five-wicket haul in County cricket.
On his County championship debut, Saini sparkled with a five-wicket haul which helped Kent bowl out Warwickshire for 225 runs after they had managed only 165 runs in their first innings.
The Delhi-based cricketer was adjudged as the player of the match for finishing his debut game with 7 wickets.
Saini feels he's getting better and better with the ball
"I was playing a warm-up match in Leicester. So after playing that match, I decided I want to play county cricket. I am learning a lot of things here and my bowling is getting better and better. The weather changes here frequently. Sometimes, it is cloudy and then the sun is out," said Navdeep Saini while speaking with Kent Cricket.
Happy to take five wickets: Saini
The skiddy pacer bowled in good areas and made the most of the conditions which was assisting the quicker bowlers. Reflecting on his first innings heroics with the ball, Saini said his patience and discipline got him those five wickets in the first innings.
"I am very happy with the five wickets. When I started to bowl here, I thought I should bowl in the same areas. I bowled in the good areas and remained patient. After getting five wickets, I am very happy," added Saini.
