Najam Sethi Likely to return as PCB Chairman

Former Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Najam Sethi is expected to replace Ramiz Raja, the current PCB Chairman after the former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was expelled from power after losing a no-confidence vote in his leadership.

As per a report by Cricket Pakistan, Najam Sethi has close connections with the opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif, and he has also expressed interest to take over the PCB again. The reports suggest that Ramiz Raja will resign from the role soon, and Sethi will replace him.

Notably, the current chairman of PCB, Ramiz Raja, was appointed by former PM Imran Khan himself, and now with him removed from the power, Raja is expected to make way for Najam Sethi.

Sethi feels that he has some unfinished job in Pakistan Cricket, and he wants to help the Pakistan Super League build into a much bigger brand. If reports are to be believed, Najam Sethi will also try to bring his men to PCB once he joins the organization.

Under Imran Khan’s leadership, Pakistan Cricket witnessed a plethora of changes, including the new domestic cricket system. As a result, many players and officials were forced to drive away from the game, leaving Pakistan domestic cricket in shambles.

As history has witnessed, changes are mandatory after a switch in power; we might see some significant changes in Pakistan Cricket in the upcoming days.
