IPL 2022 | SRH vs GT | Rampant GT set to battle it out against spineless SRH

The IPL newcomers, Gujarat Titans will look to sustain their winning momentum when they cross swords against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 21st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on Monday.

Sunrisers Hyderabad finally opened their account in the ongoing season of the IPL when they beat the defending champions Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets in their previous match.

It was a complete team effort by Hyderabad as bowling first, they restricted Chennai to the below-par score of 154. Washington Sundar and T Natarajan shined with the ball as they claimed two wickets each, while Marco Jansen, Aiden Markram and Bhuvaneshwar looked impressive as well.

Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi's brilliant batting efforts helped SRH record their maiden win in the tournament. However, Kane Williamson's form with the bat will remain a concern for them. The 2016 IPL Champions are currently placed at the 8th spot of the points table with 2 points in their kitty.

On the other hand, Gujarat Titans are yet to lose a game in the ongoing tournament as they have won three matches on the trot. Shubman Gill has been excellent at the top, while their bowlers looked terrific on all three occasions.

They played their last game against Punjab Kings, where Rahul Tewatia finished the game in style for GT as he stacked back-to-back sixes off the last two balls to take the Titans past the finish line. Gujarat is currently placed at the second position of the points table with 6 points in their kitty.

Although the Sunrisers Hyderabad have a packed bowling unit, the Gujarat Titans are the clear favourites, owing to their recent performance in the tournament. Overall, with both teams boasting some star players, a cracking game awaits at Dr DY Patil Stadium.
