Mumbai Indians create bio-secure ‘MI arena’ for players, families, and support staff

The most successful franchise of the Indian Premier League, the Mumbai Indians, have created a bio-secure ‘MI arena’ in an area spreading over 13000 square metre to provide the best possible bio-secure bubble to its players, support staff and their families, the franchise said in a release on Sunday.

The ‘MI arena’ will comprise the areas for both the team and individual players and it will obviously be an integral part of the main biosecure bubble. The arena, which is set up at the Jio World Garden in Mumbai, has exclusive recreational facilities like futsal ground, pickle ball court, box cricket, foot volleyball, golf driving range, MI battleground, mini golf, MI cafe and a kids’ zone for the concerned people, which will let them live in a relaxed environment and promote team-bonding.

Apart from the outdoor facilities, the team hotel hosts a team room which includes a state of art gym, lounge rooms with massage chairs, gaming consoles, arcade games, indoor basketball shooter, pool table, table tennis and many other things.

“MI arena” has been created to allow the team to connect and get to know each other better through the season, but also unwind and relax. The past 2 years have thrown up so many unique challenges, but we are ‘one family’ and it’s MI’s priority and responsibility to keep everyone safe and happy,” Mumbai Indians spokesperson said.

The five-time champions Mumbai Indians will begin their IPL 2022 campaign against Delhi capitals on March 27.
