England have created history while touring Pakistan after a span of 17 years. Under the leadership of Moeen Ali, the Englishmen defeated the favorites in the seven-match T20I series by 4-3. It was a series-decider on Sunday and England recorded a victory by 67 runs.
The visitors enjoyed a one-sided victory owing to a splendid batting effort. Dawid Malan’s 78 and Harry Brook’s 46 steered Moeen Ali-led side to a total of 209 runs. Chasing the score, Pakistan were restricted to only 142 runs as Chris Woakes picked a three-wicket haul while David Willey had two under his belt.
England’s head coach Matthew Mott seemed delighted with the series win as he hailed his team for a brilliant performance. The coach believes that they are ready for the T20 World Cup, scheduled in Australia this month. He also lauded the team for doing well despite so many injury concerns.
