In a significant development, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has urged the IPL 2025 owners to refrain from interacting with a certain businessman due to his suspicious actions. The individual has been found to have close connections with bookies, which is why the Anti-Corruption Security Unit (ACSU) anticipates ill intentions from him during the tournament.

BCCI Urges IPL 2025 Teams To Maintain Distance From Hyderabadi Businessman

According to Cricbuzz, a businessman from Hyderabad, who is infamous for luring players into corrupt activities, has approached the IPL 2025 participants with a malicious intent.

The ACSU has spotted the individual with a shady past near multiple team hotels, with him meeting the players and their family members raising concerns.

As the report claims, the businessman generally masquerades as a fan and offers expensive gifts, including jewellery, and luxury stays to the participants and their relatives.

Thus, the ACSU has found his presence near the team hotels alarming, cautioning the players and the IPL 2025 team owners to distant themselves from him.

The BCCI has also asked the participants to come forward and report if the businessman indulges in suspicious interactions with the players.
