MW vs GMY: Manish Pandey's blistering knock helps Mystics to clinch a close victory

Gulbarga Mystics (GMY) prevailed by seven runs against Mysore Warriors (MW) in Match 27 of Maharaja T20 League 2022 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. 

Pandey's quickfire knock help Mystics post a competitive total

Invited to bat first, Mystics lost their in-form openers Devdutt Padikkal and Rohan Patil early. However, the duo of Jeswath Acharya (34) and Krishnan Srijith (21) were proficient to steer the team at a brisk rate. 

In the final few overs, Manish Pandey's whirlwind knock of 57* off 27 balls powered Mystics to a total of 148/4 in the 18th over, before the rain stopped the play. Shreyas Gopal scalped two wickets for the Warriors. 

The innings was ended, with Warriors needing 110 runs in 11 overs, as per VJD method.

In the second half, the in-form batter Nihal Ullal and Karun Nair could not continue their good form in this fixture, resulting in a bad start to the Warriors. 

Pavan Deshpande (25) and Shreyas Gopal (32) tried well with their hefty contributions, but failed to get the team over the line. 

Ritesh Bhatkal took 2/8 in two overs to help Mystics secure a seven-run victory and confirm their top two spots in the league stage to gain advantage in the playoffs.
