IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants have officially announced that Gautam Gambhir will continue in his role as the team's mentor for the upcoming season of the lucrative league.

This confirmation comes as a conclusion to previous speculations about Gambhir possibly joining the Kolkata Knight Riders, which have now been dispelled by the Sanjiv Goenka owned franchise.

The Super Giants, on Saturday, September 09 unveiled their coaching staff for the 2024 season, appointing a World Cup-winning star as their 'Global Mentor' and welcoming Justin Langer as the head coach.

The franchise finalized its seven-member coaching staff with the addition of S Sriram as their assistant coach for the upcoming season.

Alongside S Sriram, Vijay Dahiya serves as the assistant coach of the team. Morne Morkel will take on the role of bowling coach, while Pravin Tambe will be responsible for coaching the spin bowling attack.

Additionally, Jonty Rhodes, who has been with the team since its inception two years ago, has once again been named as the team's fielding coach.

Speaking of the Lucknow Super Giants, they clinched the third spot in the league stage in IPL 2023, captained by Krunal Pandya, who took over when KL Rahul had to nurse an injury scare.

However, their playoff dreams went down the drain in the Eliminator, where they got trounced by the Mumbai Indians, losing by a whopping 81 runs at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium.
