That former India captain Virat Kohli is an inspiration for fans across generations and borders is one of his biggest achievements. Adored by one and all in the cricketing fraternity, Kohli’s bountiful fans have received another entry in the form of five-year-old Faizan.

In spite of sour relations between India and Pakistan, a line separating the two countries geographically hasn’t been able to stop people from expressing admiration for each other. Kohli, who had made an old friend’s son’s day around four weeks ago, continues his love affair with kids.

Virat Kohli Earns A New Fan In Pakistan

Star Sports, host broadcaster of the ongoing season of the ICC Champions Trophy, uploaded a 57-second video of a kid from Pakistan. A prototypical fan of the 31-year-old player, Faizan not only prefers to watch Kohli’s batting but also aims to bat like him in the future.

A right-handed batter just like his idol, Faizan receives immense support from his father with regard to cricket training. The father-son duo was spotted watching Kohli’s batting videos on a mobile phone.

He likes Virat Kohli very much. He watches his cover drive, flick shot and the six he hit off Haris Rauf [during ICC T20 World Cup 2022],” Faizan’s father told Star Sports.

An ardent supporter of the Pakistani cricket team, Faizan wished for Kohli to do well but Pakistan to defeat India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. With Kohli having scored one of his better half-centuries in the last year, Faizan’s wish has come true.

However, as far as Pakistan beating India is concerned, it seems highly unlikely taking into consideration the current situation of the match. In fact, unless something miraculous happens, the match will be remembered as yet another one-sided contest between the arch-rivals.
