Laura Wolvaardt, the South Africa opener, wants to be consistent in getting to three figures, after getting good starts. Her last hundred came in the West Indies Tour in February this year.
In the recently completed ODI series against England, Wolvaardt amassed 154 runs in three innings and was the Proteas’ second-highest run-scorer. She returned with knocks of 43, 56, and 51 in the series.
Her contributions could not help South Africa much, as the English team secured a clean sweep by winning all the matches comfortably.
Wolvaardt is elated to reach her fifties quickly, but thinks she needs to play a big innings to help the team in winning the matches.
The South African national has registered 29 fifties and three centuries in her 50-over career spanning 80 matches.
"I feel I do all of the hard work to get to fifty and then I think maybe relax for a second too much,” said Waolvaardt.
"I've got quite a few fifties in my career now and don't have that many hundreds yet so it's definitely something that I've been thinking about and obviously it didn't go right today again.
"I'm still quite young so I still have a bit of time hopefully. But yeah, it definitely will be a goal to try and get to three figures more often."

Wolvaardt hopeful of Proteas ending England Tour on a strong note
The top-order batter feels the team needs to have an introspection of their past performances and focus on getting better in the T20I series. Wolvaardt is hoping that Proteas will be ‘refreshed’ and ‘ready’ to do well in the shortest format.
"The T20 series is just around the corner so we'll have to have some good, hard meetings to see where we're going wrong and how we can come back refreshed and ready,” said Wolvaardt.
“That's going to be our focus for a while going forward so hopefully we can start that off with a bit more momentum than what we have now."
