West Indies Test veteran Kemar Roach is set to rejoin Surrey for their remaining five matches of the ongoing County Championship season.
The club itself surfaced this news via a tweet that read:
"Kemar Roach will be returning to Surrey for the remainder of the County Championship season. @KemarAJR will be available for the match against Essex at The Kia Oval that starts on Tuesday, July 19."
Earlier, Roach represented Surrey in two matches before an untimely injury ruled him out of the competition.
After recovering from injury, the seasoned pacer returned to West Indies' red-ball team for June's home series against Bangladesh, where he bagged 10 wickets across the 2 Tests, serving as the chief architect of his side's 2-0 win over the visitors.
Upon Roach's return announcement with Surrey, the club's director of cricket, Alex Stewart, admitted to looking forward to seeing the pacer make an impact in their remaining matches.
"We know all the qualities that Kemar brings, and I look forward to seeing him play a big part in the last five Championship games," Stewart told bbc.com.
Meanwhile, Surrey's next assignment includes a home bout against Essex from July 19 onwards at the Kennington Oval.
