Punjab Kings (PBKS) hosted Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Match 53 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) as the cricketing action returned to Dharamsala on Sunday afternoon.

Upon winning the toss, Sam Curran asked CSK to bat and they were going well at 69/1 in 7 overs before Rahul Chahar produced back-to-back wickets, dismissing captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube, Jitesh Sharma catching both.

The latter fell for a golden duck twice in two games, both against PBKS. Later on, in the 19th over, PBKS produced two wickets in two balls again, this time it was Harshal Patel who dismissed Shardul Thakur and MS Dhoni, shattering stumps for both wickets while producing a world-class yorker to Dhoni.

This is just the second time that the ex- CSKskipper has got out in this season, again, both times against PBKS.

Twitter went wild after seeing this Dube and Dhoni duo getting out on golden ducks, some claimed that the southpaw only cared about selection and some also made jokes about Dhoni waiting so long.

CSK ended up posting 167/9 in their 20 overs, and their bowlers started off the defence well. PBKS finds themselves in deep waters at 105/8 with four overs in the innings still to go.
