As per the latest happening, Australian explosive wicketkeeper-batter Matthew Wade has joined forces with Joburg Super Kings in the middle of the SA20 2023.

Wade was part of Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League 2022, before the franchise failed to qualify for the knockout stage.

The Australian has been signed as a replacement of the West Indies seamer Alzarri Joseph, who will be unavailable due to his national duties.

Joseph will be travelling to the West Indies Test squad to Bulawayo for the two-match Test series.

While playing in SA20, the right-arm seamer had a mediocre time with the Super Kings, taking just 4 wickets from 7 innings at a strike rate of 52.00.

Meanwhile, Wade showed tremendous form in the BBL, notching 307 runs from 12 matches with two half-centuries in the tournament.

The 35-year-old, thus far, in his T20 career, has played over 200 matches to smash 4269 runs with one century and 24 fifties to his name.

Joburg's next fixture is on Friday against Paarl Royals at their home ground, The Wanderers Stadium. However, it is unclear when Wade will travel to South Africa and be available for the franchise.
