Javeria Khan slams critics for abusing players

Pakistan all-rounder Javeria Khan has slammed the critics of the Pakistan team for making a remark on a player's personal life and passing despicable comments.

In the ongoing Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2022, Pakistan suffered three losses in three league games, and could not qualify for the semi-finals.

And, the people were quick to pounce on the matter and criticise the performance of the team, but went quite ahead in their agenda.

On Thursday (August 4), Javeria, who was left out of the CWG squad, took to Twitter to share her discomfort with the comments passed by the critics.

Javeria calls for a constructive criticism

The experienced campaigner has reckoned that constructive criticism is quite healthy, be it men's or women's cricket. She added that an individual needs to step in the shoes of another person to understand their situation, before coming to the conclusion.

"Constructive criticism is always healthy, whether relative to women's or men's crickets. But restoring to vile comments, and attacking players' private lives is both outrageous and unwarranted. One should first step and walk in another person's shoes before coming up with sweeping judgments or labeling someone as a failure," said Javeria in a heartfelt note.

Why Javeria failed to find a place in CWG squad?

The 34-year-old was dropped from the Pakistan squad due to her abysmal form in international cricket. Furthermore, Javeria was demoted to Category C in the central contract as well in June this year.

In her last 10 ODIs, she managed to accumulate only 141 runs at an average of 14.10. She failed in the shortest format as well, with only six runs to her name in two appearances last year.
