James Anderson Forced To Retire; Confirms Ben Stokes Ahead Of ENG Vs WI 1st Test

James Anderson, the talismanic English speedster is all set to retire from international cricket after the first Test between England and West Indies scheduled to start on 10th of July at Lord's. 

The man has 700 Test wickets to his name, the most for any bowler in the format and it is going to be an emotional Test match for all cricket fans around the world. Now, ahead of the game, the England skipper Ben Stokes has revealed that the team management gave Anderson some reasons as to why they want to look ahead and admitted that it was pretty hard for someone of the status of Anderson to listen to it.

It reaffirms that James Anderson had no plans to retire, but the team management wanted to look at future and so the legendary bowler had to announce his retire.

Ben Stokes also stated that  James Anderson is a great bowler and can still play Test cricket and also revealed that there are plans to keep him in the dressing room in some capacity after his retirement.
