'It's a lot of cricketers’ ultimate dream' - Seelaar on Virat Kohli

Netherlands' spin-bowling all-rounder Pieter Seelaar was pretty candid in his thoughts during a recent interview with OneCricket, where he was asked a chunk of rapid-fire questions.

One of the many questions that Seelaar was asked was what will he do if he suddenly woke up to be Virat Kohli one fine morning.

Paying the ultimate tribute to the legendary Kohli, the veteran Dutch all-rounder said that the way the Indian maestro plays cricket and how he bats it's something that others strive for in their dream.

Seelaar further added that if he does wake up to be Kohli, he would kiss the latter's wife goodbye, put on his cricket gear and walk out to bat.

Seelaar said:

"The way Virat Kohli plays his cricket and the way he bats, it's a lot of cricketers' ultimate dream. And something they would strive for. So if would wake up to be Virat Kohli, I would kiss his wife goodbye and got out and play cricket."

Seelaar is not the first cricketer to be in awe of Kohli.

Since making his international debut way back in 2008, Virat has established himself as one of the greatest batters that this game has ever seen.

His work ethic, sustained, relentless focus on fitness, and incredible consistency have helped him earn plaudits and respect from fans and former cricketers and his contemporaries.

The champion cricketer has scored more than 23,000 international runs across formats with the help of 70 hundreds.

He hasn't been in the best of form in the last 15-20 months, and Indian fans will hope that he rewinds the clock to the good old days in the forthcoming season.

Seelaar has featured in over 130 matches for his nation since making his debut in 2006. He is currently involved in the ongoing home series against the West Indies.
