It's a great feeling to work under a captain like Rohit Sharma: Mohammed Siraj

The cricket fraternity has highly applauded Rohit Sharma's captaincy from time to time. Regarded as a fine leader on the field, the Indian captain has led his IPL franchise Mumbai Indians to title on five occasions, which testifies to his amazing qualities as a captain. 

Recently, the Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has heaped praises on Rohit's leadership skills. Addressing ANI during the documentary launch on India's epic BGT campaign of 2020-21 titled 'Bandon mein tha dum', Siraj said that Rohit understands his players' mental state, which makes him a standout captain. 

To justify his point, the Hyderabad-born pacer further stressed that Rohit always comes up with an alternative and motivates the bowlers when they have bad outings on the field. As the spearhead of Indian pace battery put it, this quality of Rohit to understand his mates makes it significantly easier for the players to work under him. 

"Rohit understands the mental state of a player", Siraj said. "Whenever we have a tough time out there on the field, he is the one who comes up with a plan B and motivates the bowlers to do better in the game. It's a great feeling to work under a captain who understands you so well," the 28-year-old concluded.
