Anshul Kamboj has been a standout performer in the ongoing Ranji Trophy Elite 2024-25, delivering some sensational performances with the ball. In the crucial quarter-final clash between Haryana and Mumbai, Kamboj was exceptional, taking three wickets for just 29 runs in his 10 overs. 

Kamboj played a pivotal role in dismissing key Mumbai batters, including the likes of Ayush Mhatre, Siddhesh Lad, and Ajinkya Rahane, putting Haryana in a dominant position in the match.  His brilliant spell helped reduce Mumbai to 101/6 ahead of Session 2 on Day 1 with the top-order falling to his accurate and relentless bowling.

Earlier in the Ranji Trophy, in a match against Kerala, the right-arm pacer and all-rounder have toppled 10 wickets along with figures of 4-32 against Karnataka.

Kamboj’s exceptional performances in domestic cricket previously have earned him a significant opportunity in the upcoming IPL 2025 season. Anshul was bought by Chennai Super Kings for a whopping INR 3.4 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Chennai Super Kings, who have always backed young and talented players, will hope that Kamboj can bring his fiery skills to the IPL, where he will be expected to contribute with the ball and make a mark in one of the most competitive cricket leagues in the world.
