In a significant development, former Indian batter Yusuf Pathan has joined Dubai Capitals for the inaugural season of the International League T20

The Capitals made the announcement via a tweet that read,

"Pathan Power incoming at #DPWorldILT20. Here's welcoming the T20 legend Yusuf Pathan, who knows the art of hitting big sixes. Can't wait to get started."

Pathan has a plethora of experience in the shortest format, having played in twelve seasons of the Indian Premier League.

He was picked as a young sensation by Rajasthan Royals and was instrumental in their title winning campaign in the inaugural IPL edition back in 2008.

After being released by the Royals, the swashbuckling all-rounder guided Kolkata Knight Riders to two titles in 2012 and 2014 through some stellar batting performances.

Renowned as one of the cleanest strikers of his time, Pathan represented India in 79 international matches with moderate success, amassing 1046 runs and scalping 46 wickets.

After retiring from international cricket, the Baroda-born tried his hands in the Road Safety Series and Legends League Cricket. Now, he has followed the footsteps of his former teammates Suresh Raina and Robin Uthappa, participating in an overseas league for the first time.
