The Titans Hint On Retaining Gill and Rashid

The franchise recently posted images of Shubman Gill and Rashid Khan on its X (formerly Twitter) handle with the caption 'All over the opponents like Shub-Rash'. With rumours going on that Rashid Khan will be their first retention, this post by the franchise looks suggestive.

Rashid Khan has been a key part of their run so far and has been a valuable contributor with both the bat and the ball. On the other hand, Shubman Gill was handed over the captaincy after Hardik Pandya left for Mumbai Indians ahead of last season. Thus, the franchise's retention of these two players looks logical.

Shubman Gill has played 45 matches for the Titans and scored 1,799 runs at an average of 44.98 while maintaining a strike rate of 147.70. He has been an integral part of their batting line-up, giving them regular solid starts.

Rashid Khan has also made 45 appearances for the Titans. In these matches, he has picked up 56 wickets at an average of 23.93, with an economy of 7.68. In these matches, Rashid has scored 323 runs from 25 innings at a strike rate of 184.57.
