Rajasthan Royals (RR) star wicket-keeper batter Jos Buttler feels that the Indian speedster and his Rajasthan teammate, Prasidh Krishna can play all three formats for India in future.
The lanky speedster, who is yet to represent India in the shortest format, has had a dream start to his ODI career, picking up 18 wickets in just seven matches.
The Karnataka quick bowler troubles the batters with the sharp bounce he gets with his fast high-arm action. Krishna recently had a good ODI series against the West Indies, where he ended up picking nine wickets in 3 matches – the most by any bowler in the series.
Rajasthan Royals grabbed his services in the mega auction, and so far, he has lived up to their expectations. Lauding the pacer's ability, the RR opener stated that the 26-year old has got all the attributes to represent India in all three formats in future.
"He has some pace in the nets and skills; he has got all the attributes to be a very successful bowler for India in all the three formats of the game. I see him play red-ball cricket for India soon," Buttler said in the pre-match press conference before their third match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Speaking of his captain, Sanju Samson, the English opener said that he hasn't seen many changes in the team ever since Samson became captain and called it one of the greatest attributes of any leader.
"Not many changes since Sanju became captain. That is one of the greatest attributes any leader has to have – being yourself, being authentic.
"Sanju definitely has that. His game has matured, cricket has matured, and he's older and wiser than when we first started. We are enjoying playing under his leadership, he makes a great environment. He's a fun guy who has respect from the entire group."
Rajasthan Royals have fared well so far in the tournament, winning both of their opening games by a remarkable margin. They have won both their games while defending the target, which has been challenging for other teams, considering the due factor.
"The dew is something we can't control, but we can practice with the wet ball and get used to it. Same for the fielding, put to in a some water and practice your catching cause the dew is playing a big factor, and we need to adapt to it as quickly as possible."
Rajasthan Royals, who are currently sitting at the top of the points table, will play their third game against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday (April 5) at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
